Hmm. I didn’t realize our duty day is about to change. From the examples we’re gonna fly these trips. But it’s over duty? I thought the 4k turns only! By itself…. Not a part of the sequence. What gives?
Christina Frees (Negotiating Committee Member) says
In order for bases that do not have destinations that qualify for the 4K turn to have access to these high time turns, a minimum of 10% of such turns would need to be built into multi-day sequences for all bases to benefit from the higher time pairings under the 4K provision. All of the rules apply to bidding whether the 4K is a turn or built into a multi-day. You will not have to fly any of these sequences if you do not bid for them. Hope that explains the multi-day trips that contain a 4K sequence.
