In TA2 what are the changes to our OT?
The purpose of creating a new OT trial is to create a better, more equitable trading system that increases Flight Attendants’ flexibility in modifying their schedules and to improve predictability of staffing and limit the impact of sequence drops to OT on reserve coverage.
What day will OT trading start?
For all Flight Attendants the OT and FA to FA trading will open on the 15th of each month.
Will all days be open when OT trading begins?
All days in OT will start open for trading and will only close when the day exceeds the sequence threshold number. If the sequence threshold is met the day closes, but if subsequently a trip is picked up from OT taking the count below the maximum threshold the day will reopen.
What does it mean when a day in OT is limited?
It means you can still trade down with an OT trip coded TO/CP. With any other trip you can trade day for day or greater.
What is the net maximum TFP I can drop into OT?
FAs will have the ability to drop a net maximum of 40 TFP into OT without having to pick up a trip from OT. Straight drop.
Crew Scheduling Discretion?
Eliminated. The closing/opening of days will be automated and not at the discretion of Crew Scheduling.
Will Trips be withheld from OT trading day on the 15th?
No. All trips will be in OT available for trading.
Is there any seeding of OT?
No. However, some trips may fall into OT because they were not awarded on bid schedules. By eliminating the requirement to fund OT, more Flight Attendants will be lineholders.
Do the sequences not awarded during PBS bidding count in OT towards the threshold?
No. Sequences not awarded including 4k sequences will not count toward the daily threshold sequence number, they would be in addition.
