Brice McGee

Brice began his career as a Flight Attendant first based in Los Angeles in 2006, transferring to Seattle and finally San Diego. He skillfully balances his professional responsibilities with family life, calling places like Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, and Heredia, Costa Rica home. Renowned for his dedication, Brice has served as LEC Secretary for San Diego and is currently in his third term as the San Diego LEC President, prioritizing Union unity and the well-being of his colleagues.
He shares unforgettable travel experiences with his growing family. Brice’s life is a blend of professional commitment, family love, and a passion for adventure, all driving him to advocate for a stronger and more unified AFA.

Melanie Buker
LEC Vice President
Melanie began her aviation career with Horizon Air in 1986, based in Boise, Idaho. During her tenure, she joined the Critical Incident Response Program (CIRP), an experience that later guided her transition into the AFA Employee Assistance Program (EAP) when she joined Alaska Airlines in 2002.
She was elected AFA Council 30 Anchorage President in January 2011 and currently serves her fourth term as Vice President of AFA Council 15 San Diego, where she has also held the role of Local EAP/Professional Standards Committee Chairperson. With more than 23 years of dedicated EAP service, Melanie remains committed to strengthening the program and enhancing support resources for Alaska Airlines Flight Attendants—and, in the future, Hawaiian Airlines Flight Attendants as the merger progresses.
Melanie resides in Boise, Idaho, where she enjoys the natural beauty of her home state, spending time with her longtime friends, reading, and cherishing time with her two grandsons.

Kitty Cohen
LEC Secretary
Kitty began her career as a Flight Attendant for Alaska Airlines in 2017. Initially based in Los Angeles, six months later she transferred to San Diego and has been based there ever since. Kitty has spent almost her entire career volunteering for AFA, where she has served and continues to serve on various committees including Reserve, Mobilization, Scheduling, Grievance and is now honored to take on the role as LEC Secretary. Her goal is to continue to be a strong voice for Flight Attendants in discussions with management regarding potential changes to their work environment.
Outside of flying and advocating, Kitty loves to travel the world. Being to 67 countries, Kitty continues to take full advantage of her non-rev travel benefits exploring new countries, cultures and culinary experiences.
