Melinda was born in a small town in Northern California. Her family owned 80 acres of ranch land where she spent time riding horses, taking care of animals, and spent numerous hours outside enjoying life with her brothers… Later she moved to the Seattle area in 1987, where she attended Highline Community College. After that she began her career with AAG in 1992. In 2000 she started her Flight Attendant career at Alaska, and has always been based in Seattle. During her career as a flight attendant Melinda has been involved with the Reserve Committee and was a Mentor for New Hire Flight Attendants. She has served on the Voice Committee, and is a current member of the Seattle Scheduling Committee.
Melinda is most proud of her four boys who range in age from 20 – 34. She’s involved in rescue and foster work for animals without homes… She loves the great outdoors, hiking, camping, road trips, most sports and travel in general. She hopes to be a role model using compassion and wisdom in her role as Council 19 LEC Vice President.
Adam grew up in the Seattle area and has spent most of his life in the state of Washington. He has been a Flight Attendant here at Alaska since 2004. Adam has been involved with AFA Leadership since 2011. His previous career experience is in marketing and advertising.
Adam enjoys spending time with his wife and son, rooting for his favorite teams (Go Cougs and Sounders!) as well as numerous outdoor adventures such as surfing, camping, golfing, and hiking. He’s excited to bring experience, leadership, and compassion to his role as Council 19 LEC Secretary.
Megan started her Flight Attendant career in 1991. After Flight 261, she decided to get involved with EAP. She spent 10 years as the LEC Chair/co-chair for Seattle. In 2004, she joined the inflight training department where she was a initial instructor and recurrent instructor, which she enjoyed. Her greatest accomplishment is her son, Zane. When she’s not flying, she spends her time with her family. She looks forward to learning and supporting her fellow coworkers in her work with AFA.
