Paula Isla-McGill
LEC President
Paula Isla-McGill grew up in the Seattle-area after immigrating from the Philippines as a young girl in 1989. She became a Flight Attendant at Alaska in 2017, and after initially being based in LAX for 2 months, has been based in SEA ever since. She is excited to work with AFA to be a resource and advocate for her fellow Flight Attendants. Prior to Alaska, Paula graduated from University of Washington in Architectural Studies and spent 10 years primarily focused on healthcare design.
When she is not flying, Paula enjoys spending time with her husband and their 5 children and dog, Major.

Melinda Jorge
LEC Vice President
Melinda was born and raised in Northern California and moved to Washington state in 1987. She attended Highline Community College from 1990-1992 and then attended the International Air Academy (1992) in Vancouver, WA.
She began her career with the Alaska Air Group in 1992 with Horizon Air and transferred to Alaska Inflight in 2000 (her first Flight Attendant job). She has always been based in Seattle.
Melinda has been involved in union activities for many years, beginning with the reserve buddy program and interviewed several times for different negotiating committees. She was part of our Mobilization Committee (Five Bases, One Voice!). Melinda ran successfully for her first Council 19 LEC Officer position as a Council Representative in 2017 and attended officer training that summer. She was elected Council 19 LEC Vice President in 2020 and has served in the position since.
Melinda enjoys spending time with her husband (retired Alaska Line Maintenance), their rescue pups and kitties, her four adult children, and grandchildren. Outdoor activities are her jam, and she also loves to listen to crime podcasts. She has a passion for helping others and looks forward to continuing that passion working with and for our Members!

Adam Clarey
LEC Secretary
Adam grew up in the Seattle area and has spent most of his life in the state of Washington. He has been a Flight Attendant here at Alaska since 2004. Adam has been involved with AFA Leadership since 2011. His previous career experience is in marketing and advertising.
Adam enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, as well as numerous outdoor adventures such as surfing, camping, golfing, and hiking. He’s excited to bring experience, leadership, and compassion to his role as Council 19 LEC Secretary.

Kiersten Larson
Council Representative
Kiersten Larson began her career as a Flight Attendant with Alaska Airlines in 2008. Over the last few years, she’s been involved with Government Affairs, Mobilization, and Communications. In addition to Union work, Kiersten is an active children’s rights advocate, reflecting her ongoing commitment to standing up for those who need a voice.
Kiersten was motivated to step into the role of Council 19 Seattle Council Representative because of her passion for advocating for her fellow Flight Attendants and ensuring their voices are heard at every level. She aims to build on her advocacy background by keeping Members informed, engaged, and empowered. Outside of work, Kiersten loves spending time with her husband, two cats, and lovingly harassing her adult children.

Andrew Stinson
Council Representative
Andrew has been a Flight Attendant with Alaska Airlines since 2015. Before coming to Alaska, Andrew graduated with a bachelor’s degree in restaurant and hotel management and worked as a chef at Snoqualmie Casino in the banquets and catering department. Andrew’s goals in his new role as Council Representative are to engage with our Members by continuing to fly and to continue to build solidarity with other labor organizations.
Andrew is heavily involved in many local labor organizations, such as the Pierce County Central Labor Council, the Washington State Labor Council, and Pride at Work Pierce County. When Andrew isn’t advocating for Flight Attendants, he keeps busy by spending time with his and his partners’ families.
