Dear Seattle Flight Attendants,
This past week I have heard your concerns over my support for the drill team members who may participate in the upcoming Torchlight Parade. I wish to have more conversation, in person, with you about this issue and the decision the MEC made. I also want to take this opportunity to look ahead at upcoming summer events where we can come together and show our solidarity!
For those of you who cannot attend, I will be providing more strategic planning sessions over the next few weeks.
This is very last minute, but I wanted to jump on this day and time as a way to demonstrate our strength and solidarity. I have booked a room at the Hilton Conference Center at the same time as Andy’s Town Hall and Social Hour.
If you were planning on attending the Town Hall, please stop by the AFA room first and bring your thinking caps- We are going to discuss upcoming solidarity events and how we can continue to put pressure on the company to negotiate the contract we deserve!
If you can rearrange your schedules to accommodate this last minute request please bring your blue AFA t-shirts! …After 2 hours of planning we will be ready for “Happy Hour.”
This is a kid friendly event and FAs out on leaves are also welcome to join the fun!
Parking is paid for by AFA if you park in the general parking garage of the conference center. Also, the Hilton is easy access from the airport if you take the light rail system.
If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to reach out to me or to any of the LEC Officers.
I look forward to seeing you on Tuesday!
In solidarity,
Laura Masserant
