        What Does This Subcommittee Do?
        The Air Quality Subcommittee works with the Company on matters pertaining to the quality of air onboard the aircraft and any incidents or complaints involving air quality.

        Specific Duties & Responsibilities

        • Handles any air quality or contamination issues as they arise
        • Works with the company to investigate and addresses the source of air quality or contamination when it occurs
        • Assists Flight Attendants in obtaining proper care, treatment, and testing when involved in an air quality or contamination incident
        • Follows up with the Flight Attendant(s) involved to ensure they have received proper care, treatment, and testing
        • Keeps members informed of air quality incidents and developments through the MEC Communications Committee.
        • Develops, distributes, maintains, and updates membership education materials about air quality, contamination, symptoms, and follow up procedures
        • Regularly communicates with and provide updates to the MEC ASHSC Chairperson on the activites of the subcommittee
        • In conjunction with the International Office, develops and provides initial and ongoing training to a designated Air Quality contact within the ASHSC of each Local Council

        • Information about cabin air quality including resources and information about previous incidents

        SEA Domicile Negotiations – October 2025

        The recent meetings of the SEA Domicile Negotiating Committee in Seattle and Honolulu highlighted both progress and persistent challenges in negotiations with management. While there has been advancement on some issues, significant concerns remain. Key topics under discussion include the transfer processes, return options to HNL or LAX, staffing, moving expenses, and safeguarding existing bases. Our committee prepares for the next round of negotiations in Seattle during the week of October 20.

        Joint Contract Negotiations Session 7 – September 2025

        Our JNC made significant progress in shaping our JCBA, successfully reaching a Tentative Agreement on Section 13 – Uniforms. Key provisions include enhancements to uniform standards, ensuring protective measures such as no surnames on name tags from the Hawaiian CBA. While we continue discussions on various sections, including Air Safety Health and Security, Training, and Commuter Policy. We appreciate feedback from the 2207 Flight Attendants who participated in our recent Vacation Survey.
