State Sick Bank Implementation

The new state sick bank will be implemented May 1, 2025. Your CBA bank will be the default bank for sick calls unless otherwise stated when calling Crew Scheduling. The Sick Leave and Attendance video and Sick Leave Usage Flow Chart resources are available.

Upcoming 2025 AFA Board of Directors Meeting

Members of our Master Executive Council (MEC) and other AFA Representatives will attend the AFA Board of Directors (BOD) meeting this weekend. Your LEC President will represent you at the BOD Meeting, voting on approval of the AFA International budget on your behalf. Our AFA Human Rights Committee Chairpersons met on Tuesday, March 25, to discuss their ongoing program of work to advance human rights within our workplace and community. The Committee also met with management to receive updates on what progress has been made on concerns previously brought forward and address new concerns that have come to light. Joint Contract Negotiations Session 14 – April 2026

The JNC continued its thorough review of both the Alaska and Hawaiian vacation systems, engaging in productive discussions with key company stakeholders. A collaborative approach was proposed to address the complex provisions, ensuring that all parties’ needs are considered. Looking ahead, the committee is preparing to gather feedback through a Crew Meal Survey and anticipates further sessions with management from June 2 to June 4.
