Scheduling Committee Meeting Recap – August 2024

On August 27, our AFA Scheduling Committee Chairpersons met to discuss their ongoing work representing Flight Attendants’ interests in lineholder scheduling. The Committee met with management to receive updates and discuss issues and problems Flight Attendants face with scheduling, pairings, and bidding. Our Negotiating Committee needs all Alaska Flight Attendants to complete the TA2 Survey by Wednesday September 4 at Noon PT. Upon analyzing the survey data, the committee will draft the TA2 proposal and present it to the MEC for review before moving forward in the timeline as illustrated below.

Joint Contract Negotiations Session 13 – March 2026

Our JNC met this week for three days of collective bargaining with management. The JNC focused on clarifying questions about moving expenses and presented a proposal for Sick Leave, using feedback from Flight Attendants to guide improvements. The Committee is working to incorporate the strongest elements from both contracts to ensure better support for all members.
