Our Hotel Committee recently met to discuss current layover hotels and transportation, addressing concerns with management and reviewing topics such as relationship management with hotel vendors, the evolving use of ride-share transportation, and TBDs in bid packets due to over-capped rooms. Don’t forget to report feedback (both positive and negative) via CrewCare about your layover hotel or ground transportation experiences!

Get to know our merged MEC Air Safety, Health, & Security Committee (ASHSC) Chairpersons and Representatives, who are stepping into their roles on November 1. These dedicated representatives will work together to coordinate the activities of the newly merged ASHSC, ensuring the voices of both Alaska and Hawaiian Flight Attendants are heard as we move forward toward a single operating certificate (SOC).

Get to know our first group of pre-merger Alaska MEC Committee Chairpersons and Representatives who will begin transitioning into their roles ahead of the official term start date of January 1, 2026. These members of the Grievance and Uniform Committees are committed to supporting their fellow Flight Attendants and addressing the unique challenges faced by our group.

MEC Officer Elections
Our MEC will hold interviews and conduct elections for the offices of MEC President, Vice President, and Secretary-Treasurer on Tuesday, November 11. Your LEC President, who represents you on the MEC, will vote on your behalf for these positions. Learn more about the candidates who have expressed interest in these positions so you can share your feedback with your LEC President before they cast their vote.
