Our JNC met this week for three days of collective bargaining with management. The JNC focused on clarifying questions about moving expenses and presented a proposal for Sick Leave, using feedback from Flight Attendants to guide improvements. The Committee is working to incorporate the strongest elements from both contracts to ensure better support for all members.

Unfortunately I’m flying tmrw, the 2nd, for our meet & greet event. Although, why attend Andy’s social event. Personally, I choose to refuse to participate in any of these ‘feel good’ events, until we have a new contract for our FA group!! Why would any of us want to attend???

Hi Terri,
In June Council 19 also hosted a meeting prior to Andy’s Town Hall. The purpose for these meetings is simple: It provides Flight Attendants a forum to discuss their concerns with the management team. How else is Andy, or any member of management, going to understand our concerns if we don’t share them? In the June session the company’s negotiation team attended the Town Hall and the Flight Attendants did not hold back! The Town Hall forum is separate from the Social Hour and many Flight Attendants chose to attend the Town Hall, but not the Social Hour. I highly encourage Flight Attendants to come to the event tomorrow, get their RED HOT AFA t-shirt, and show the company our solidarity! Ask them your questions, share your comments, and let them know why we deserve a contract that values the work we do every day!
