Base Meetings: Tuesday, Sept. 17th (BUR) and Thursday, Sept. 26th (ONT)

LAX base meetings set to be held near the (1) Burbank Airport and (2) Ontario co-terminals.

Same meeting, two opportunities to attend!

 

(1) BURBANK

When:  Tuesday September 17th, from 11am to 2 pm.

Where:  BJ’s Restaurant, 107 South 1st Street, Burbank, CA  91502. (click for active link to googlemaps)

(2) ONTARIO

When:  Thursday September 26th, from 11am to 1pm.

Where: Pizza Factory, 951 N Haven Ave, Suite C., Ontario, CA  91764. (click for active link to googlemaps)

*MEC Negotiator Brian Tracy will be in attendance at the ONT meeting.

 

What:  Your LEC officers will be in attendance to overview a list of council agenda items.

Lunch will be provided and FA attendance is strongly encouraged. The meeting’s minutes will be available on AlaskaMEC.org a few days following the meeting.

LAX base meetings are coming to co-terminals in September, so mark your calendars. Your LEC officers will be in attendance to listen to and answer any questions.

Tuesday, September 17th, 11am-2pm in the Burbank area.

Thursday, September 26th, 12-2pm in the Ontario area.

Dates and times are set, but exact location is TBD. Please standby for more details.

EAP Openings and Interviews

Want to join the EAP? The EAP committee is looking for new members:  1 for LAX & 2 for SAN.
EAP initial training is scheduled for Sept. 9-10 in Phoenix. Interviews will be conducted on Aug 5th .
 Applicants will need to submit an electronic application at www.afanet.org. Scroll down and click on “Employee Assistance” on the left column, the form can also be found under “Becoming a new EAP Rep.” The International Office will forward all completed forms to Alaska EAP and interviews will be held on August 5th.

Council 18 LAX Officer Election Results

April 21, 2013

 

 

Dear Flight Attendants,

 

 

The Council 18 LAX officer election ended at noon Pacific Time on Tuesday, April 16, 2013. Nominations and elections are governed by procedures outlined in the Association’s Constitution & Bylaws, Article VIII and the AFA Policy Manual. The results are as follows:

 

President: Sandra Morrow

Vice President: Kelly Johnson

Secretary: Kelese Stallings

Council Representative: David Lehman

 

The upcoming three year term for Council 18 officers is from July 1, 2013, through June 30, 2016. The Master Executive Council (MEC) congratulates the officers-elect and we sincerely thank all those who stepped forward to run in the election.

 

[Note from MEC President Jeff Peterson: This was a particularly eventful week for us because of all the developments surrounding negotiations—and the Boston Marathon bombings occurred on Monday as well. It was an honest error that the Council 18 election results were not posted that day (or during the week, for that matter). I personally apologize to all LAXFAs and SANFAs for the oversight!]

SEA Domicile Negotiations Update – January 2026

The Hawaiian Seattle Domicile Negotiating Committee has reached an agreement with management, confirming the “Rescinding the Award” provision and extending the bid timeline by one week to Monday, January 19 at 2359 HT. As of January 7, a total of 189 Hawaiian Flight Attendants have submitted bids for the new SEA Domicile, primarily from HNL and LAX. Discussions about the moving day process are ongoing, with further updates expected before the revised bid deadline.
