Council 43 (HNL) LEC Officer Election Results

Polls closed at 12 PM PT today for the election of Council 43 LEC Officers, representing Hawaiian Airlines Flight Attendants based in Honolulu. The following AFA Flight Attendants have been elected to Local Council Officer positions:

LEC President: Kela Chong IV
LEC Vice President: Martin Gusman
LEC Secretary: Soon Kim

These newly elected officers will begin their terms on July 1, 2026, and serve until June 30, 2029.

On behalf of our Master Executive Council (MEC), we congratulate the newly elected officers. We also want to express our gratitude to everyone who participated in the election process, whether by voting or by running for office. 

Council 39 (PDX) LEC Officer Election Results

Polls closed at 11 AM PT today for the election of Council 39 LEC Officers, representing Alaska Airlines Flight Attendants based in Portland. The following AFA Flight Attendants have been elected to Local Council Officer positions:

LEC President: Krystle Shae Berry
LEC Vice President: Melodie Anderes
LEC Secretary: Kevin Sharp

These newly elected officers will begin their terms on July 1, 2026, and serve until June 30, 2029.

On behalf of our Master Executive Council (MEC), we congratulate the newly elected officers. We also want to express our gratitude to everyone who participated in the election process, whether by voting or by running for office. 

Council 19 (SEA pmAS) LEC Officer Election Results

Polls closed at 12 PM PT today for the election of Council 19 LEC Officers, representing Alaska Airlines Flight Attendants based in Seattle. The following AFA Flight Attendants have been elected to Local Council Officer positions:

LEC President: Paula Isla-McGill
LEC Vice President: Melinda Jorge
LEC Secretary: Adam Clarey
Council Representatives: Kiersten Larson and Andrew Stinson

On behalf of our Master Executive Council (MEC), we congratulate the newly elected officers. We also want to express our gratitude to everyone who participated in the election process, whether by voting or by running for office. 

MEC Officer Election Results

With the current Master Executive Council (MEC) Officers’ term ending on December 31, 2025, our MEC held elections this week for the next term. According to the AFA-CWA Constitution and Bylaws, each of the eight Local Executive Council (LEC) Presidents casts one vote for each officer position. The following AFA Flight Attendants have been elected to MEC Officer positions representing Alaska and Hawaiian Airlines Flight Attendants:

MEC President: Timothy Green
MEC Vice President: Brice McGee
MEC Secretary-Treasurer: Paul Ikioka

These officers will serve from January 1, 2026, through December 31, 2028. You can find more details about each officer’s duties and responsibilities in the AFA-CWA Constitution and Bylaws and the MEC Policy and Procedure Manual.

Our MEC congratulates the newly elected officers and sincerely thanks everyone who stepped forward to run in the election.

Council 30 (ANC) LEC Officer Election Results

Polls closed at 12 PM PT today for the election of Council 30 LEC Officers, representing Alaska Airlines Flight Attendants based in Anchorage. The following AFA Flight Attendants have been elected to Local Council Officer positions:

LEC President: LeiLauni Scheideman
LEC Vice President: Heather Reier
LEC Secretary: Anne Madsen

Joint Contract Negotiations Session 17 – July 2026

This session, the JNC focused on refining the Reserve survey to ensure a comprehensive representation of member concerns. Significant progress was also made on Section 23 (Insurance Benefits), with proposals aimed at enhancing Flight Attendant protections and securing tailored insurance provisions. Additionally, productive discussions continued on Section 30 (Training). Further improvements are anticipated pending management’s response to our latest proposal.
