Receive 1.333 TFP for each day of the leave for a total of 40.0 TFP (30 days in January bid month)
Feb – Dec 2015 your 480 is credited the 40 TFP (for January staffing leave Jan 1st – Jan 30th) and requires only 440 TFP excluding vacation and sick leave.
There is an additional provision that requires you have paid time in a month to meet the 1/12 requirement of that month, otherwise your vacation is reduced. If you are taking the leave in January you will need to have a trip that originates in December 2014 and flying terminates in January 2015. This will ensure you meet the 1/12 requirement for the full vacation accrual.
In TA2 please read over Section 14.A.4. and Section 15.M. and 15.N. These provisions discuss what occurs with leaves with or without coordination and the sections affected by those provisions.

I am currently on maternity leave. Over these last months I had put a vacation day in each month to accrue vacation for the next year. With the new contract will placing a vacation day into each month I am on leave count towards my 1/12 still?

Hi Sarah,
The application to receive the 1/12th accrual is the same as it requires paid time in a month.

Does your reply pertain ONLY to the January 2015 SAL?
If a leave was taken in February for example, would the 1.33 daily TFP be credited towards vacation accrual?
Also would like to know if the 1.33 TFP daily is credited toward vacation accrual if you are on an unpaid Medical or WC Leave?
Jake Jones (SEA LEC Vice President/Negotiating Committee Member) says
The reply is in regards to anytime you are taking an unpaid leave per Section 15.N.. The contract provides a credit of 1.333 per day you are on unpaid leave towards the 480 requirement. Refer to Section 14.A.4., 15.M. and 15.N. as the language is very specific in the provisions it covers.
