Final Text of the Tentative Agreement

Formatting and correcting errors within the final text of our 2024 Tentative Agreement (TA), originally published on July 20th, is now complete. We ensured the full document was formatted correctly and all known transcription errors recognized by AFA and management were addressed. Management has indicated they will do one final review of the document.

TA Ratification Vote Updates

The percentage of eligible Alaska Flight Attendants who voted on the Tentative Agreement is listed below. There is still time left to cast your vote. 

You can find more information about the TA, FAQs, and voting at contract2022.afaalaska.org/ta. The vote closes on August 14 at noon PT.

  • Wednesday, August 7 – 51.5%
  • Thursday, August 8 – 55.7%
  • Friday, August 9 – 59.6%

Supplemental Ditching Training Update

Our Grievance Committee is pleased to let you know we strenuously negotiated and settled the open SDT issues with management to the benefit of our Flight Attendants. Most Flight Attendants will receive 5 TFP for completing the SDT drill, plus an additional 1 TFP for completing the SDT CBT and watching the video in the June 13, 2024, required bulletin bundle. The training must be completed by July 31st, if the Flight Attendant has duty in the remainder of July; the training can be done at many different times. You can select which option works best for you.

Starting next week, our Negotiating Committee will be hitting the road for a series of roadshows to bring the details of the tentative agreement (TA) directly to you. Each roadshow will feature a presentation by the Negotiating Committee about the TA, followed by an interactive question-and-answer session. These sessions are your chance to ask questions and get all the information you need to make an informed decision when it’s time to cast your vote.

Joint Contract Negotiations Session 13 – March 2026

Our JNC met this week for three days of collective bargaining with management. The JNC focused on clarifying questions about moving expenses and presented a proposal for Sick Leave, using feedback from Flight Attendants to guide improvements. The Committee is working to incorporate the strongest elements from both contracts to ensure better support for all members.
