Letters of Agreement (LOAs)

What is a letter of agreement?

The AFA constitution & bylaws grants the Master Executive Council (MEC) the authority to enter into letters of agreement (LOAs) with management to supplement contractual language and provide additional guidance surrounding matters that were either not foreseen or could not be anticipated during contract negations. LOAs have the full force of contractual language.

Joint Contract Negotiations Session 13 – March 2026

Our JNC met this week for three days of collective bargaining with management. The JNC focused on clarifying questions about moving expenses and presented a proposal for Sick Leave, using feedback from Flight Attendants to guide improvements. The Committee is working to incorporate the strongest elements from both contracts to ensure better support for all members.
