Air Safety, Health, & Security Committee Meeting Recap – 3rd Quarter 2025

Our Air Safety, Health, & Security Committee (ASHSC) met with management last week with discussions on lithium-ion power bank usage, service animal guidelines, and improving communication regarding safety protocols. We’re also pushing for improvements in training for CSAs on L1 door safety, addressing connectivity issues in the State of Alaska, and the clarifying authority of Flight Attendants to handle intoxicated passengers for a safer flying experience.

Grievance Win For Flight Attendants: Reinforcing Our Contractual Rights Under Sections 8.M and 8.D

A recent arbitration ruling has resulted in a significant victory for Flight Attendants by clarifying our contractual rights under Sections 8.M and 8.D of the Collective Bargaining Agreement. The decision ensures that Crew Scheduling cannot arbitrarily change report times for subsequent trips when a Flight Attendant has waived their domicile rest, reinforcing our ability to exercise the options outlined in our contract.

SEA Domicile Negotiations Update – January 2026

The Hawaiian Seattle Domicile Negotiating Committee has reached an agreement with management, confirming the “Rescinding the Award” provision and extending the bid timeline by one week to Monday, January 19 at 2359 HT. As of January 7, a total of 189 Hawaiian Flight Attendants have submitted bids for the new SEA Domicile, primarily from HNL and LAX. Discussions about the moving day process are ongoing, with further updates expected before the revised bid deadline.
